Description

A heavy duty quick release clamp with twin magnetic bases. Open the jaw, drop your tool in, and it locks shut. Flick the release lever and it is back out in a second.

The two rubber coated magnets hold it to any steel surface, so it goes on a toolbox, a tool cabinet, a shed frame, a steel post or the leg of a workbench without drilling a single hole, and you can move it whenever the job changes.

The details
- Twin rubber coated pot magnets per mount
- Holds tools up to approximately 1.5kg
- Grade N38 Neodymium (Rare Earth) magnets in protective steel pots
- Durable black santoprene rubber casing on both magnets
- Spring loaded quick release locking clamp
- Maximum operating temperature 80°C

Please read before use
- Always test the hold before you rely on it. Fit the clamp, load it with the tool you intend to carry, and give it a firm tug. Surface condition changes everything: paint, powdercoat, rust, dirt and thin or curved steel all reduce the hold, in some cases by more than half.
- Not recommended for use on moving vehicles. Vibration, cornering and road shock load a magnet in the directions it is weakest, and a tool coming loose in or on a moving vehicle is dangerous.
- Do not mount it overhead or anywhere a falling tool could injure someone.
- Keep heavier tools low down, and recheck the hold whenever you move it to a new surface.

A note on the weight rating
The 1.5kg figure is a tested working load with the tool hanging out from the surface, which is the hardest way there is to load a magnet. It sits well under what these magnets pull flat against clean steel, and that margin is deliberate.

Why the rubber matters
The rubber casing protects whatever you mount it to, it stops the bases sliding sideways under load, and it takes the knocks that come with a workshop.
