Description
This is one of the most versatile magnets available - Unlike our separate North and South faced countersunk magnets. This magnet is countersunk on BOTH sides!
So to match a north and south face, you just need to flip one of the magnets.
Dimensions:
The dimensions of the product are measured in metric units, with an approximate "tolerance" (manufacturing margin of error) of +/- 0.05mm
Length: 40mm (L)
Width: 20mm (W)
Height: 10mm (H)
Countersunk Hole: 8.4mm (D1)
Through Hole : 4.2mm (D2)
Pull Strength: 9.97kg (Approx)
The approximate force (in metric units) required to remove a magnet from industry-standard 3mm thick mild steel. These "strengths" are measured using mathematical calculations, and should be used as a general guide only.
Direction of Magnetism: "Axially"
Magnetised (top to bottom) thru 10mm height. The axis through which a product is magnetised.
Gauss: 3,407
A measurement of surface "magnetic induction" (B), equal to one ten-thousandth of a Tesla. Gauss indicates the number of lines of magnetic flux per square centimetre, under the CGS metric system.
Grade: N42
In permanent magnets, the grade refers to the materials used in the production process. Material "grades" range from low end (weaker) to high end (stronger). See more about magnet grades at our Help Centre.
Features:
- Powerful Rare Earth (Neodymium) permanent magnet.
- Black plastic coated for surface protection and a non-marking finish
- Pairs with another identical magnet by simply reversing one of the magnets.
- Twin countersunk holes 4.2mm Through Hole / 8.4mm Countersunk, to be used with flat head screws (4g x 20mm is the best size for mounting for optimum penetration into material)
- Maximum operating temperature 80°C / 100°C
